Field trips are free and open to the public. Please contact the field trip leader with any questions.

Saturday, December 19, 2026 – QAS 47th Annual Christmas Bird Count (CBC)

Event includes walking and driving to count birds within prescribed area.

Friday, January 1, 2027 – LVRT @ Expo Center

Kick off the New Year with QAS’s 11th annual New Year’s Day winter bird walk. Meet 9:30 AM at Lebanon Valley Expo Center parking lot next to LVRT.

Sunday, February 14, 2027 – Union Canal Tunnel Park

Observation of flora and fauna (including counting birds for the 30th annual “Great Backyard Bird Count”). Meet 2:30 PM at the park’s 25th Street parking lot.

The first of two trips to observe the ‘sky dance’ of the woodcock. Meet 7:15 PM at the Trout Run Trailhead parking lot. Bring a flashlight. Trip cancelled if raining.
